Based in Keith, in the North-East of Scotland, I offer freelance photographic services to publishers, businesses & personal customers.
I have had a keen interest in photography since my teens when, at school, I discovered the magic of developing photographic film & prints. In 1980, my first month's wage was spent on my first "proper" cameras, Nikon 'F' & 'FE' SLRs. I still have them now. In fact, the lenses I bought for these cameras are still among my favourites for taking images today.
However, photography had to take a back seat while I pursued a career in Engineering, designing anything from complicated stuff that keeps oil platforms & nuclear reactors going, to simple stuff like brake lights for tractors. During this period my photographic interests were relegated to my (vanishingly small) spare time, or limited to occasional shots illustrating something technical.
It has taken until now for me to drag myself away from Engineering for a bit - and turn to face a different direction. I'm delighted to say that I can now include photography into the mix. As a result, I've created "moraylight" as a vehicle for this. For the time being, moraylight will trade as a brand of Tarbat Electronic Solutions Limited.
Thank you for visiting - I hope you like what you see and I look forward to being able to work with you.
